Skye (Jessica Lucas) collapses the morning after the “Cult” fan party, suffering a serious reaction to the drug she was slipped. The doctors urge Jeff (Matt Davis) to locate a sample of the drug so they can find a way to reverse its effects in order to save Skye’s life. Detective Sakelik (guest star Aisha Hinds “Weeds”) arrives at the hospital but refuses to help. Jeff suspects that the drug might be hidden at her place so he takes matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, inside Skye’s hallucinogenic state, Billy (Robert Knepper), Kelly (Alona Tal) and Skye’s father Quentin (guest star Obba Babatunde) encourage Skye to give up and stop searching for the truth.
Universal announced today that their horror comedy R.I.P.D. will be released in 3D. In retrospect that’s pretty cool because we make a habit out of getting ripped in the third dimension all the time.
Universal Pictures’ R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, James Hong, Tobias Segal, and Robert Knepper.
Robert Schwentke is directing the project, which follows a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world. Jeff Bridges is playing Reynolds’ ghostly partner.
Universal Pictures’ supernatural farce has been scheduled for July 19, 2013.
THE NOTEBOOK — Jeff (Matt Davis) tells Skye (Jessica Lucas) about Ama (guest star Neelam Khabra), a woman he met on a “Cult” fan site who claims that her husband is missing after becoming obsessed with the show. When they finally meet her, Jeff notices that she has a “Cult” notebook that looks eerily like Nate’s notebook. Ama introduces Jeff and Skye to a man who finds and deprograms cult members. EJ (guest star Stacy Farber, “Degrassi: The Next Generation”) locates an IP address on a disk that could bring Jeff and Skye one step closer to finding Nate. Meanwhile, on the television show, Kelly (Alona Tal) finds Professor Patrick (guest star Jonathan Holmes), the man who deprogrammed her, at Billy’s (Robert Knepper) compound.
